Where to check regulatory information

The National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board publishes Ugandan regulatory notices, responsible-gaming outreach and information about oversight of illegal online gaming sites.

Use current notices and the Board contact channels when checking a claim. A telecom connection, locally advertised brand or downloadable app is not evidence of permission to operate.

Questions for the regulator

Confirm whether a license covers the named company, exact website and activity. Ask about current age restrictions and the appropriate route for an unresolved complaint. This guide does not establish that Fish & Chips is licensed or available lawfully in Uganda.

Reduce harm and preserve evidence

If gambling is causing debt, anxiety or conflict, stop and contact a qualified health professional or trusted support person. Ask the regulator what exclusion or complaint resources apply to the specific operator.

Save transaction references and correspondence before closing an account. Do not send additional funds because a stranger claims that another payment is necessary to unlock a withdrawal. Keep recovery phrases and login codes private.
