Restrictions must not be confused with availability

The Department of Provincial Administration hosts an English translation of the Gambling Act B.E. 2478. The document describes prohibited games and permission requirements. It explicitly says that the translation has no legal authority and that the formally adopted Thai text controls.

This historical translation is not a complete check of current amendments or the legal status of a specific online service. Consult current Thai official sources and qualified local advice.

No assumption of an online exemption

An overseas license, downloadable app, cryptocurrency payment or accessible website does not establish permission in Thailand. This guide does not confirm that Fish & Chips is authorized. Do not use a VPN or other workaround to evade restrictions.

There is no universal age badge that makes a prohibited gambling activity lawful. Minors must not gamble; adults must still respect applicable restrictions.

Consumer protection

Keep evidence of suspected fraud and contact authorities through verified channels. Never pay an unsolicited recovery agent or disclose account secrets. For gambling-related distress, stop participating and seek help from a qualified local health professional.
