Official complaint and self-exclusion resources

The Gaming Board of Tanzania operates GLICA, its licensing, inspection and compliance application. The portal describes registry inspection, complaints between players and licensees, and voluntary self-exclusion.

Those services are useful starting points for checking an operator or requesting help. Their existence does not confirm that Fish & Chips is authorized, or that every online product is permitted.

Check the scope of any answer

Ask which jurisdiction, activity and legal entity a regulatory response covers. Do not assume mainland guidance automatically resolves a question involving Zanzibar. Confirm local age requirements with the relevant authority rather than relying on a generic age badge.

Preparing a complaint safely

Record the domain, account reference, dates and the disputed transaction. Keep the original messages. Use the regulator portal for current contact instructions and avoid unofficial recovery agents who demand advance fees.

Self-exclusion is a protective measure, not a guarantee that all websites will block access. Ask about its coverage, duration and the process for requesting it. A health professional can help if gambling is affecting finances or wellbeing.
