Start with the current Kenyan authority

The Gambling Regulatory Authority of Kenya publishes material on the Gambling Control Act 2025 and associated regulations. Its website also records the transition in regulatory leadership. Older references to the Betting Control and Licensing Board should not substitute for checking current notices.

This page does not confirm that Fish & Chips is licensed in Kenya. A working website, local currency display or familiar payment logo does not establish authorization.

What to verify

Ask the authority about the exact legal entity, domain, permitted activity and current license status. Do not assume a license displayed in a screenshot covers another website. Check the current age requirement directly; an age badge alone is not proof of compliance.

Protect your information

Keep dated receipts and correspondence if you have a dispute. Share evidence only through verified complaint channels. Never provide a wallet recovery phrase, private key or one-time authentication code to someone claiming to release funds.

For gambling-related distress, stop participating and seek help from a qualified local health professional. See our responsible-gambling information.
