OKX is the second-most-common exchange our players use to fund Fish & Chips. The flow is almost identical to Binance and Bybit, with one OKX-specific gotcha: first-time withdrawals get held for review. This guide shows you how to deposit and how to avoid the 30-minute wait next time.
TL;DR: OKX → Withdraw → USDT → Tron (TRC20) → paste TronLink address → minimum 5 USDT → 1 USDT fee → arrives in 60–90 seconds (after any review hold).
Step 1 — Get your TronLink address ready
Open TronLink on mobile, tap your address at the top of the wallet screen to copy it. Your Tron address is 34 characters and starts with T. If you don't have TronLink yet, install it from tronlink.org — it's free and the only mobile wallet we recommend for new players.
Step 2 — Withdraw from OKX
- Open OKX, tap Assets → Withdraw.
- Select USDT.
- Choose Network: Tron (TRC20). Not Ethereum, not BSC, not Optimism.
- Paste your TronLink address. OKX will ask if you want to add it to your Address Book — say yes, with the label "TronLink".
- Enter the amount (minimum 5 USDT, network fee 1 USDT).
- Tap Confirm and complete 2FA.
If this is your first withdrawal to this address, OKX will hold it for 30 minutes for review. There's no way to skip the first hold, but every withdrawal to this address after that is instant.
Step 3 — Verify on Fish & Chips
After OKX shows the transaction as "Sent", it appears on Tronscan within 30 seconds. Open Fish & Chips, connect TronLink, and the deposit credits to your in-game balance automatically — no need to refresh. You'll see a green confirmation toast and the welcome-bonus banner (if it's your first deposit).
Pro tip: skip the review hold
The OKX review hold is per-address, not per-account. Once your TronLink address has been whitelisted for 24 hours, every future withdrawal goes through in under a minute. If you plan to deposit weekly, this one-time wait is well worth it.
Common mistakes
- Selecting "Tron (TRX)" instead of "Tron (TRC20)" — these are different. TRX is for sending TRX tokens; TRC20 is for sending USDT on the Tron network. Pick TRC20.
- Withdrawing during OKX maintenance windows — OKX runs maintenance on Sundays 02:00–04:00 UTC. Withdrawals queue but don't process until the window ends.
- Forgetting 2FA — OKX always requires 2FA on withdrawals. If you've recently changed your phone, recover 2FA first or you'll get an extra 24-hour security hold.
Once the deposit lands, head to the Submarine Dive crash round (97.5% RTP) or the arcade lobby for Fish Hunter and Dragon King.
Frequently asked questions
Is OKX cheaper than Binance for USDT TRC-20 withdrawals?
Same fee — both charge 1 USDT on TRC-20. The real difference is OKX sometimes adds a 30-minute review hold for first-time withdrawals, while Binance is usually instant after 24 hours from your last password change.
Why is OKX holding my withdrawal?
OKX runs anti-fraud delays of 30 minutes to 24 hours on three triggers: first withdrawal to a new address, password changed in the last 24 hours, or 2FA reset in the last 48 hours. Wait it out — cancelling and retrying restarts the timer.
Can I bypass the OKX hold?
Add your TronLink address to the OKX 'Address Book' and mark it as a whitelist entry. After 24 hours, that address is exempt from the new-address hold.
Does OKX support TRC-20 USDT in the US?
OKX is restricted in the US. If you're a US resident, use Bybit or KuCoin (also restricted in some states — check before signing up). Fish & Chips itself works globally for verified Tron wallets.
